I stopped trying to fit neatly into one category a long time ago.

I’m endlessly curious about life—about people, ideas, systems, spirituality, consciousness, psychology, business, and the countless ways they intersect. This blog is where those curiosities meet.

Smiling Leo is an expression of the many facets of who I am, how I choose to move through the world, and the wisdom I’ve gathered—and continue to gather—along the way. Here, I document my successes, my mistakes, the uncomfortable conversations, the moments that challenged me, and the experiences that continue to shape who I’m becoming.

My goal isn’t to convince you to see the world the way I do. It’s to share what I’ve experienced, observed, tested, gotten wrong, and what I think is worth paying attention to. I believe in examining ideas with curiosity rather than blindly accepting or rejecting them.

If you’re someone who enjoys thinking deeply, questioning assumptions, and embracing the messy process of becoming, I think you’ll feel at home here.

Social Media & the Metaverse

Social media has become one of the primary ways I share ideas and connect with people around the world. I love that the internet has made it easier for people to realize that their experiences aren’t as isolated—or as unique—as they may seem. More often than not, someone else has walked a similar path, asked the same questions, or struggled with the same challenges.

You’ll find me in a few different places depending on the conversation. YouTube is home to my long-form content, where I can explore ideas in greater depth. X (formerly Twitter) is where I think out loud. It’s my digital notebook—a place for observations, questions, and the occasional unfinished thought that may eventually grow into something much larger.

I tend to be more interested in where technology is going than where it is today. That’s one of the reasons the metaverse continues to fascinate me. While much of the hype surrounding virtual real estate faded after the rise of artificial intelligence, I don’t believe the metaverse has disappeared—it has simply entered a quieter stage of its evolution. We’re still in the early days of immersive digital worlds, and I think there’s tremendous potential yet to be realized.

I own a small piece of virtual land in Decentraland at (9, -119). It’s still very much a work in progress, but my vision is to create a space where visitors can discover my content, explore ideas, and experience them in ways that go beyond a traditional website.
